Ancient Greece
This topic is about Ancient Greece. A family lived in one house and some families even lived with other families. They had 1 or 2 story houses with a courtyard, freezer room, 2 or 3 bedrooms, 1 or 2 bathrooms and a store. They had a freezer room because they didn’t have a refrigerator. They had 2 bedrooms because 1 was for the wife and the other was for the husband. Most houses had 3 bedrooms for kids or slaves. They had a store near the front door so that people could visit anytime and not disturb the regular routine. The courtyard was usually in the middle of the house. The windows had no glass and always faced inward to prevent burglary. Their staple foods were wine, bread, figs, grain, olives and olive oil. They got their water from a well or from rainwater. Since they had little water they mostly bathed in olive oil. What did you eat last night? It probably contained meat, am I right? If it did then you are not like the ancient Greeks. Because they only ate meat on rare occasions like weddings, important parties and in engagements. Some of these meats were black pudding (which is made up of octopus and pig’s feet. Some gods which are related to ancient Greek foods are Demeter (who is the goddess of harvest) who lives with her daughter, Persephone, and Dionysus (god of wine) who Hera (queen of Olympus and the wife of Zeus) made mad and he is the god who made a mother kill her son to show other people that he is a god.
